Sacred Medicines

We work with four sacred plant and entheogenic medicines to support deep emotional healing and expanded awareness. Each medicine is used with clear intention and deep respect inside a safe, carefully held container. All sessions are guided by experienced facilitators who prioritize your emotional safety and consent at every step.

Cacao

Cacao is one of the most ancient heart-opening plant medicines in the world. For thousands of years, indigenous cultures in Central and South America have used ceremonial cacao to open the heart, deepen connection, and facilitate emotional healing.

Traditional Use

Ancient Maya and Aztec civilizations called it “the food of the gods.” They used it in sacred ceremonies to connect with spirit, enhance intuition, and bring communities together.

Healing Benefits

Modern research shows cacao is rich in compounds like theobromine, phenylethylamine, and anandamide — often called the “bliss molecule.” These naturally increase feelings of love, euphoria, and emotional openness. It gently softens emotional armor, making it easier to feel and release stored grief or heaviness without overwhelming you.

Safety & Considerations

Cacao is very gentle and well-tolerated by most people. Avoid it if you have severe heart conditions or are on certain medications. Most people experience only pleasant warmth and heart opening

Cannabis

Cannabis has been used as a sacred healing plant for over 5,000 years across many cultures. From ancient China and India to indigenous traditions in Africa and the Americas, it’s long been revered for its ability to calm the mind, open the heart, and support emotional healing.

Traditional Use

In India it’s known as Vijaya (“victorious”) and has been used in spiritual practices for millennia. Traditional healers used it to help people process grief, reduce anxiety, and deepen meditation.

Healing Benefits

Modern studies show cannabis can significantly reduce anxiety, ease depression symptoms, and help process trauma. It often creates a state of relaxed awareness where difficult emotions feel safer to feel and release. Many people report it helps them access suppressed memories and emotions with greater compassion and less overwhelm.

Safety & Considerations

When used consciously in moderate doses, cannabis is generally very safe. The main considerations are avoiding it if you have a history of psychosis or are prone to paranoia. We use low to moderate doses in our circles to keep the experience clear and grounded.

Mushrooms

Psilocybin mushrooms have been used in sacred ceremonies for thousands of years, most famously by indigenous groups in Central and South America. They are widely regarded as one of the most powerful tools for deep emotional healing and spiritual insight.

Traditional Use

The Mazatec people of Mexico have used psilocybin mushrooms ceremonially for centuries, calling them “flesh of the gods.” Traditional healers use them to diagnose illness, resolve emotional wounds, and restore balance to the spirit.

Healing Benefits

Clinical studies from Johns Hopkins, Imperial College London, and other institutions have shown remarkable results. A single guided psilocybin session can rapidly reduce depression and anxiety, with effects lasting for months. It has also shown strong potential in treating PTSD, addiction, and end-of-life anxiety by helping people process trauma, dissolve ego defenses, and experience profound feelings of connectedness and self-compassion.

Safety & Considerations

When used in a properly held ceremonial setting with moderate doses, psilocybin is considered physically safe for most healthy adults. The main considerations are avoiding it if you have a personal or family history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe heart conditions. We only work with people who are mentally and physically stable.

MDMA

MDMA, often called “ecstasy” in recreational settings, has been used therapeutically since the 1970s. It is currently one of the most promising medicines for trauma healing, with multiple Phase 3 clinical trials completed.

Traditional Use

While MDMA does not have ancient traditional roots like the plant medicines, it was widely used by therapists in the 1970s and early 80s for couples counseling and trauma work because of its unique ability to create deep empathy and emotional safety.

Healing Benefits

MDMA creates a unique state of emotional safety by flooding the brain with serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin. This allows people to explore difficult emotions and memories with compassion instead of fear. Beyond PTSD, research and clinical use have shown strong benefits for:

  • Treatment-resistant depression
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Emotional shutdown or numbness
  • Low self-worth and deep shame
  • Childhood trauma and attachment wounds
  • Difficulty forming close relationships

Many people describe it as “years of therapy in one session” because it helps them feel safe enough to truly open their heart.

Safety & Considerations

In a carefully screened and properly held setting, MDMA is physically safe for most people. It should not be used if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, or are taking specific antidepressants.

Our Approach

All medicines are offered with deep respect, clear intention, and within a carefully held container. Your safety, comfort, and personal boundaries are always our highest priority. We only work with individuals who are physically and mentally stable, and every participant is fully screened before joining any medicine journey.
